My wish for a cure – for ” Barometer Head”:

When they finally cure all the disease of the world (Cancer, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, MS, etc), I wish they would research those of us who have a condition called “Barometer Head”.  I am NOT the only one!  Everytime a storm rolls in, and God forbid it is anything like a Hurricane – my head feels like it swells up in my skull – I get a headache and ringing in my ears and can’t think straight.  Once it rans, I get some relief, and when it passes and the barometer returns to “normal”, so do I.

Besides myself, I can tell you about 4 other people I know who will ACCURATELY predict when a storm is approaching  - no weathermen or radar required.  We can tell you how close it is, how big it is, and when it passes.  This must be somewhere in the Farmer’s Almanac! LOL

What the heck is this?

Am I the only one who is wondering this?

I am getting to the point where I am sick of reading people’s comments on the news.  In fact, I am sick of hearing the news – 99% of which is now yellow journalism – or worse,  angry, demeaning rhetoric.

There is SUCH an intolerence in the U.S. these days – it’s becoming almost militant.  Look at our elected leaders – they can’t even agree to disagree – they are busy bashing each other verbally, day and night on the airwaves, in the press, in video. It’s sickening.

So, it doesn’t surprise me when those “leaders” (and I do use the term loosely since they are anything but), who are involved in that kind of behavior, result in the average Joe and Jennie Citizen, hiding behind a “nickname” who feels free to begin their tirade in a comment section in a local news website, or anywhere else they are given the freedom to make a comment while hiding their real names.

This isn’t your every day difference of opinion.  It starts there, and instantly goes way beyond civility.  Simply because the person being written about has a different view point than their own.

Eight years of “you’re with us, or your against us” attitude at the top of our country, and now that we have a new President who brought hope,  there is no respect afforded him for his office, nor any respect afforded for others who have a different view point.

It’s sickening.  I want to kick some serious butt when I see a headline like “Colorado billboard connects President Obama with Jihadist group”.  What in the hell are these people thinking!  Get a grip you idiots!  Did eight years of ducking and hiding to keep out of the way of the black ops who might come seize your life and call you a domestic terrorist for having a different viewpoint, give you carte blanche to be a totally disgusting tribute to that era?  Like, it’s ok to be obnoxious and teach your kids disrespect just because you are right – even when you are wrong?

I hope this era ends soon.  It was not this bad back in the 60s!  You fools are afraid to have a “socialized” medical plan — you have no problem turning your back on anyone who needs help, and you are censoring anyone with a differing approach to their own life or with a different opinon than yours. Hmmm, forget socialism,  sounds pretty totalitarian to me.

Get over yourself.  Have your opinon, and even feel free to state it,  but keep the nasty behavior and remarks out of it.  Learn how to be civil and cordial while stating your opinion.  It’s hard work, but will make you a better person and easier to be around.  Have respect for others before you find yourself on the short end of the stick – when the silent majority get fed up with the b.s. you are spewing and decide to censor YOU!
